Whole foods snacks manufacturer Dang Foods has received investment from Sonoma Brands, a food and beverage products incubator and venture fund.
Under the terms of the deal, Sonoma Brands will take a minority stake in Dang Foods, while offering guidance and support to help Dang enter into new retail channels.
The financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Dang Foods has become the first brand to receive funding from Sonoma Brands. The funding is expected to help in the growth of Dang Foods in the US.
Dang Foods founder Vincent Kitirattragarn said: "With the support, resources and expertise of Sonoma Brands, we are confident that we will continue to be the leader in truly innovative, healthy, dang-worthy snacks."
Dang Foods uses common ingredients such as coconuts and onions in order to develop foods that contain good amount of nutritional value.
The companies plant to collaborate for accelerated growth and intend to work towards achieving innovative chip formulations with new ingredients and flavour.

Family-owned snacks business Dang Foods offers snacks in Coconut Chip and Onion Chip categories. The company claims that most of its products are vegan, gluten-free Non-GMO Project Verified, cholesterol-free and high in fiber.
In January, Dang Foods extended its portfolio to include new flavours of onion chips such as chipotle garlic and Applewood barbecue. The company is focused on using plant-based ingredients for its snack products.
