Barwell & Jones, a UK-based importer and distributor of wines, is all set to distribute wines from Argentinean winery Zorzal Wines to UK.
Founded in 2008 by three Michelini brothers, the winery is known for its technology-based work processes, including crushing, fermentation and ageing. It is also equipped with automatic system of temperature control that can be operated through internet remotely.
Wines produced by Zorzal include Porfiado, Field Blend, Eggo, Malbec, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Torrontes, and others.
The wines will be showcased at the Beautiful South Tasting to be held on 11-12 September 2013 at Olympia in London.
Barwell & Jones marketing manager Fiona Juby was quoted by Harpers as saying that they are pleased to have the Zorzal winery on board as it is not often that you get to work with new winemakers so full of passion, and who are not afraid to challenge the norm in order to produce the best quality wines possible.
"Defying the myths of winemaking, the brothers use innovative practices in both the winery and vineyard such as vinifying in concrete eggs for their 'Eggo' wine, and harvesting and co-fermenting Cabernet and Malbec for their 'Field Blend'. The results are show-stopping wines which are exciting the wine world, and which we believe will be very successful here in the UK," Juby added.
