
The award program, which was founded by the retailer in 2002, seeks to highlight and encourage those making contributions to the environment.
One of the four finalists for the prize - Barista, Way Out West, Anna-Kaisa Lidell and Örebro Municipality will be announced as the overall winner on 25 August. The award ceremony will be held at Skansen in Stockholm on 1 September in conjunction with the consumer association's Family Day.
Coop's customers began nominating individuals and companies during the spring.
The four finalists are:
Barista - Scandinavia's first ethical coffee chain.
Way Out West - a music festival with an environmental focus in everything they do.
Anna-Kaisa Lidell - a food innovator and development strategist.
Örebro Municipality - which has created the platform 'Smarter food' in order to reduce food waste.
