Pernod Ricard UK has added Graffigna Centenario Malbec wine from Argentina to its premium wine portfolio.
Made from grapes sourced from vineyards at San Juan regions, including Tullum Valley and Pedernal Valley, the wine is aged in 85% French Oak and 15% American Oak barrels.
The wine is deep red in color with purple hues, dark berry aromas and notes of black pepper.
Pernod Ricard UK marketing head Lucy Bearman said Argentinean wines are growing in popularity and Graffigna Centenario Malbec is ideal for the consumers.
"Retailers in the off-trade should embrace the Argentinian category and ensure they include a branded offering such as Graffigna Centenario Malbec to ensure they capitalise on the consumer demand that we are confident will continue well into 2014 and beyond," Bearman added.
To drive awareness among its consumers, the company is investing in the brand with samplings and PR campaign that is set to launch in autumn 2013.
Graffigna Centenario Malbec is currently available in the UK off-trade at a recommended retail price of £9.99.
