UK-based food establishment Freemans Confectionary Supplies is recalling Many Thanks Pralines with Hazelnut Filling as the product may contain peanuts that have been labeled incorrectly as groundnuts, according to the Food Standards Agency (FSA).
The product subject to the recall is 115g Many Thanks Pralines with Hazelnut Filling with Best Before date of 20 March 2014.
Freemans Confectionary has issued information notices to its distributors has also contacted the relevant allergy support organizations, which will notify their members about the recall.
No other Freemans Confectionary Supplies products have been affected by the recall.
The agency has advised consumers not to consume the recalled product as it may cause health risks in people allergic or intolerant to peanuts.
