Chase Distillery of Herefordshire is set to introduce its new apple cider - Willy's Cider - in the UK market in October 2013.
Willy's Cider is a lightly sparkling cider that contains 4% ABV. It is a blend of Chase bittersweet cider apple juice.
The juice is naturally fermented over a period of three to four months, before a little of the fresh pressed apple juice is blended back into the cider to create a medium dry finish. It has no artificial colors or flavors.
This cider is precursor to Williams Chase Elegant Gin. Although it has been made since 2009, this is the first time the company has bottled for sale.
Priced at a RRP of £3 per 500ml bottle, the new cider will be available from independent retailers and on-trade venues in London and other major UK cities.
Chase Distillery founder William Chase said: "We distil this cider to create our fine gins, and when the base ingredient tastes this good, it was only a matter of time before we started to bottle and sell it as a standalone product."
