American fast food chain Subway has outlined plans to open around 60 new Subway stores across parts of the West Midlands over the next three years.
Subway franchisees James and Andrea Fleck will oversee the latest developments plan. These new stores are expected to create around 885 new jobs for locals.
This is part of the fast food chain's strategy to have 2,000 outlets by 2015, and to expand the brand footprint in the UK.
Subway franchisee James Fleck told InsiderMedia,"The planned expansion will not only provide a significant boost to the local employment market but also give entrepreneurs the opportunity to establish their own small business."
Meanwhile, the chain has also planned to open 17 new outlets in Shropshire over the next three years. The company is also looking to recruit nearly 11 franchisees to develop their outlets around Shropshire.
In addition, Subway is looking to open new outlets at retail parks in Shrewsbury and Telford.
Presently, the chain operates 1,684 outlets in the UK.
