Elevation Brands and Slade Gorton have extended their partnership to create gluten free whole grain foods to now include a new series of products for the school foodservice industry.

The products, described as allergen-friendly “center of the plate” Child Nutrition products, will appear under the Ian’s and ICEBAY brands. According to a company statement, the new products will meet all nutrition standards for the USDA’s school lunch program and new Child Nutrition standards that go into effect next summer.

“We’re offering fish sticks and chicken nuggets‹high-demand products with mass appeal‹that meet the strictest Child Nutrition guidelines, and we’re doing it with allergen-friendly Gluten Free ingredients,” said Chuck Marble, CEO of Elevations Brands. “These products were developed to be part of a general school menu, simplifying meal management and fostering a feeling of inclusivity for kids with food allergies.”

The companies are marketing the products to the K-12 market, but said colleges and universities looking to further compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act might be interested, too.
