Valio, a Finnish dairy firm, has selected Neste Jacobs to provide production optimization at its whey powder facility with the latter's advanced process control (APC) technology.
As per the deal, Neste Jacobs will implement the optimization using its NAPCON technology with primary focus on manufacturing process of the whey powder production.
Neste Jacobs managing director Jarmo Suominen said, "The agreement with Valio supports Neste Jacobs' vision to be the preferred solution provider for Finnish technology companies and increases the brand awareness of the NAPCON® Product Family."
Valio Powders Production Manager Antero Ylitalo said, "We are currently planning the implementation of APC technology also in Valio's other production factories and hope that we will be able to continue the good cooperation with Neste Jacobs also in this area."
Neste Jacobs is a engineering and project services provider for a wide range of industries in the oil and gas, petrochemicals, chemicals and biotechnology fields.
Owned by 18 milk production cooperatives, Valio is engaged in refining and marketing milk based products. The company produces dairy products, cheeses, greases, juices, milk powders, demineralized whey powders and large kitchen products.
