Nature Sprouts, a US-based food manufacturer, has introduced a new line of sprouted legumes for super foods seekers and high protein dieters.
The process of sprouting increases the nutrient levels of food as seeds require significant nutrition to develop into plants. It also breaks down sugars in the seed, making it easier to digest, the company said.
Nature Sprouts co-founder and Bodek executive vice president Yitz Rosenbluth said, "Nature Sprouts has achieved something monumental with the introduction of our line of frozen sprouted legumes.
"We have developed a nutritious and tasty product that features a long shelf life without sacrificing its nutritional value."
Available at select locations, the products are offered in varieties, including kidney, navy, and garbanzo beans as well as a combination of all three products as one sprouted delight.
