Marco’s Pizza, an Ohio-based restaurant chain, has entered into an agreement with Terry and Chris Tsavoussis to open 40 outlets in Puerto Rico over the next nine years.
In order to open the first outlet by March 2013, the brothers have joined hands with MP Puerto Rico, which operates two other restaurant franchises within the US territory - The Taco Maker and Camille's Sidewalk Café, reported Toledoblade.com.
In 2014, the brothers plan to open four Marco's Pizza outlets in Puerto Rico. Tsavoussis brothers also hold the rights to develop Marco's stores in the Bahamas.
Marco's Pizza chief operating officer Bryon Stephens told The Blade that The Puerto Rico deal marks another positive milestone for Marco's.
"We're confident that this agreement will lead to further growth internationally," he added.
Further, the chain is looking to open more than 100 franchised stores nationwide.
Marco's Pizza has more than 340 franchised and company-managed pizza stores in 29 states, Panama, and the Bahamas.
