Simon Bates, Director of Communications at Dairy UK, has announced he is to leave the organisation.
Simon, who has worked for Dairy UK and predecessor organisations for 30 years, said: “It has been a huge privilege to serve the interests of one the UK’s great industries. I am proud to have been closely involved in many initiatives and campaigns that have benefited both dairy companies and dairy farmers.
“Having worked in a number of senior positions for the industry’s representative body over many years, I feel that the time is now right for me to move on and seek a new challenge. It has been a great pleasure to have worked with so many talented and dedicated people throughout the industry and I wish them all well.”
Billy Keane, chairman of Dairy UK, said: “Everyone at Dairy UK and across the industry is acutely aware of the enormous contribution Simon has made over the years on behalf of dairy industry. He has been particularly instrumental in ensuring the industry has had an effective representative body. We wish Simon well with his future endeavours.”
