Leamington, Ontario-based Pure Hot House Foods Inc. is introducing eco-friendly packaging.
Pure Hot House, which markets under the Pure Flavor label, will roll out the packs for its Aurora Bites mini peppers and beefsteak slicer tomatoes, according to a Pure Hot House news release.
The line’s new packaging includes recipes and more vibrant colors and dynamic design, according to the release. Packs could be on retail shelves as early as January.
The new packs use 25% less plastic than other packs. The beefsteak slicer pack uses 30% less paper than other packs.
Another feature of the new packaging is quick-response codes, which connect consumers to Pure Hot House’s Pure Kitchen Cooking blog.
