Global marketing services company HH Global has launched Lidd, a patented and peelable lidding film solution designed for ready meals.
Developed in partnership with Parkside Flexibles, Lidd is claimed to eliminate the need for cardboard sleeves and deliver cost savings for brand owners.
The lidding film solution reduces packaging weights by over 45% and packaging costs by at least 10%, the company said. It maintains brand identity and reduces the environmental impact of food packaging.
Lidd can be used in ambient/chilled or frozen, on plastic, aluminum or paper/plastic tray combinations. It features a two layer laminated film construction to seal the product which allows to display the printed marketing information.
