UK-based nkd AQUA has introduced a new water bottle - AQUA POD - which includes a patented filtration technology that turns ordinary tap water into quality spring water.
The FILTRON filter technology used in the water bottle removes around 99.9% of bacteria, chlorine and odor from any tap water, in addition to supercharging water with the optimal level of natural minerals and electrolytes as found in mountain springs, the company claims.
Commenting on the development, nkd AQUA founder Piush Soni said that the company was able to recreate the same water as found in natural mountain springs, all within one bottle.
"We combined our eco-friendly system with an ergonomic easy grip design to create a bottle that reduces waste and saves anyone drinking conventional bottled mineral water thousands of dollars a year," added Soni.
AQUA POD also features nkd Super Flo System, which is a squeezable motion pad that allows water flows more quickly producing instant access to hydration; and a fully attached cap that protects the mouthpiece from exposure to germs and dirt when not in use.
