Żubrówka, a Poland-based vodka brand, is set to appoint Suntory Australia as its distributor in Australia.
Suntory Australia already distributes Russian Standard Vodka, the Zubrówka's parent company in Australia. It will now distribute the Zubrówka's rye-based vodka in the country, reports theshout.com.au.
Russian Standard Australia and New Zealand area director Trent Russell was quoted by the site as saying, "We're excited by the transition to Suntory, with whom we already have a successful relationship with the distribution of Russian Standard Vodka."
"The move not only allows us to consolidate our brands through the one route to market vehicle, but more importantly it allows Zubrowka to benefit from Suntory's on-premise capabilities and build upon the foundation that has already been established in the market."
Zubrówka vodka is expected to complement Suntory Australia's existing spirits portfolio.
