Meijer plans to develop $100m dairy plant in US

Meijer, an American grocery chain, is planning to develop a new $100m dairy production plant in Tipp City of Miami County, Ohio.

The proposed production plant will manufacture milk, as well as other dairy products that will be catered to Meijer stores.

The plant is expected to create new jobs, by employing around 103 people, the company claims.

Meijer spokesman Frank Guglielmi confirmed the announcement, however declined to comment further.

Meijer operates supercenters and grocery stores throughout Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky.

It offers various products in the areas of fresh produce and meat, baby and toddler, clothing and accessories, crafts and art supplies, electronics and computers, furniture and home products, garden and outdoor.
