ICE Canada canola futures rose on Monday, following soybean oil higher ahead of a monthly US government crop report. US Department of Agriculture to report at 11 am CST (1700 GMT) on US and world grain ending stocks; and South America crops. Funds seen rolling March short canola positions into May. March canola added $2.40 at $428 per tonne at 8:23 am CST (1423 GMT).
Chicago March soybeans gained 2-1/4 US cents at US $13.33-3/4 per bushel. March soyoil rose 1.1 percent. NYSE Liffe Paris May rapeseed eased 0.3 percent. Malaysian April palm oil gained 1.5 percent. Canadian dollar was trading at $1.1050 versus the US dollar, or 90.50 US cents, down from Friday's close at $1.1039 to the US dollar, or 90.59 US cents.
