Desmet Ballestra has completed the installation of an oil refining and processing equipment developed by Cavitation Technologies (CTI) at soybean oil refinery in South Korea.

The Nano Neutralization equipment is capable of processing more than 200 tons of soybean oil per day.

CTI CTO Roman Gordon said, "The South Korean refinery marks our 15th installation either completed or under contract.

"With a pending installation in India, we believe Asia provides enormous potential for CTi's technology moving forward."

CTI, founded in 2007, designs and manufactures devices and systems and develops processing technologies for edible oil refining, algal oil extraction, alcoholic beverage enhancement and water treatment.

Desmet Ballestra has been a strategic partner since 2010, and licensee of CTI's vegetable oil refining technology, and provides all stages of oils and fats processing, including seeds preparation, extraction, refining and fat modification.
