US-based 21st Amendment Brewery is set to establish a new production brewery, tasting room, full-service restaurant and event space at 2010 Williams Street in San Leandro, California.
Construction of the new 95,000ft² is expected to be complete and will be operational in nine months. The brewery will start construction of the restaurant and event space in 2015.
The new beer facility will have an initial brewing capacity of 100,000 barrels and the potential to scale to over 250,000 barrels in the near future.
As part of this project, 21st Amendment expects to generate 20 jobs in the first year and about 100 over the next five years in the region.
San Francisco architect Aidlin Darling Design will look after the design of the new brewery.
The company will install a 100 barrel, four-vessel brew house and a production line at the new plant. The brew house will have the capacity to produce eight brews per day and the production line can fill up to 500 cans per minute.
21st Amendment will use this large-scale brewing facility to create new specialty and experimental brews.
San Leandro business development manager Jeff Kay said: "With 21st Amendment and Cleophus Quealy Beer Company opening this year, joining the award-winning Drake's Brewing, San Leandro is quickly becoming a top destination for fans of high-end beer."
Besides this, the company has introduced Sneak Attack Saison limited edition beer in the US.
