The volume and value of Brazilian pork exported during January 2014 were lower than the same month during 2013.
The latest figures from ABIPECS reveal that Brazil exported 34,868 tons of pork in January, down 13.09 per cent compared to 40,119 tons in January 2013.
The value of pork exported during January 2014 was US$9.02 million, down by almost 14 per cent compared to the same month in 2013, where the figure stood at US$104.63 million.
The average value of pork in January was $2,589 per ton, down 0.7 per cent compared to the same month last year, where the average value was $2,608 per ton.
