JBT FoodTech, an American food processing machinery provider owned by JBT, has secured a contract from an international bakery company for proofing and freezing equipment.
Valued at more than $4m, the deal includes supply and integration of JBT's Frigoscandia GYRoCOMPACT M10 proofing and freezing technology at North American-based bakery plant.
The project is expected to enter operation in the fourth quarter of 2014.
Commenting on the contract, JBT FoodTech vice president and division manager Steve Smith said, "We are very pleased with the confidence expressed in both JBT's leading bakery solutions and proven track record for field service and technical support."
JBT designs, manufactures, tests and services advanced systems and products for industrial food processing customers through its JBT FoodTech segment and JBT AeroTech segment, and it operates in about 25 countries globally.
