Sazerac, a US-based spirits group, has signed a licensing agreement with The Wine Group to distribute its Irish whiskey, tequila and bourbon brands in the US.
The American alcoholic beverage company produces and distributes wine in the US. It produces a variety of wines under the Franzia, Corbett Canyon, Mogen David, Tribuno, and Lejon labels.
As per the agreed terms, Sazerac will distribute Big House Bourbon and Concannon Irish Whiskey under its Gemini Spirits and Wine subsidiary, while Piedra Azul Tequila will be distributed under the Sazerac umbrella.
Sazerac president Mark Brown was quoted by The Spirits Business as saying, "We are looking forward to beginning to sell these brands as we feel that they will fit nicely with our existing portfolio of brands and have a potential for future growth."
New Orleans-based Sazerac offers whiskies, a line of shooters, wines, cordials and liqueurs, vodkas, gins, tequilas, rums, brandies and cognacs, and cocktails.
