Daredevil Brewing has signed a development agreement with the Speedway Redevelopment Commission to purchase a two-acre site at the 1100 block of Main Street, Speedway, Indiana to establish a new brewery.
Located in Shelbyville, the new location is an expansion of the brewery's craft beer business and will be its first public taproom.
Development plans include the construction of a new 10,000ft² production brewery, with additional expansion possible in the future.
Speedway Redevelopment Commission president Vince Noblet said that a craft brewery on Main Street provides a new type of destination location that complements and adds to the diversity of local businesses and restaurants in Speedway.
"We are excited to welcome Daredevil Brewing Co. to Main Street and our Speedway community," Noblet added.
The brewery will start the construction of the new location later in 2014. The brewery is expected to be fully operational within the next 12 months.
Daredevil also plans to continue to operate its production brewery in Shelbyville.
