Isle of Arran Distillers in Scotland is geared up to introduce Arran Malt 17 Year Old to its range of three extra-aged single malts, which is the second in the range after Arran Malt 16 Year Old.
The Arran Malt 17 Year Old whisky will be made from un-peated malted barley and matured in ex-sherry casks, reports The Spirits Business.
The company will launch the limited edition whisky in April, with 9,000 bottles.
Priced at a RRP of £64.99, the Arran Malt 17 Year Old whisky will be directly available from the distillery.
Isle of Arran Distillers master distiller James McTaggart said, "With the 17 Year Old we've created a sweet spicy palate with hints of cigar tobacco. Adding a touch of water brings out flavors of dark chocolate and orange oil to add a depth of flavor to this decadent dram."
Additionally, the company will launch Arran Malt 18 Year Old next year in 2015, which will the third in the extra-aged single malts range.
