Mitten Brewing, a US-based brewery, is set to open a new production brewery in 10,000ft² of industrial space leased at 540 Leonard Street, in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
The latest move by the company comes in response to accommodate the demand for its products.
For the project, Mitten Brewing has purchased a 20-barrel brew system from JV Northwest.
Initially, the brew house will have an annual capacity of 1,000 barrels.
Two flagship beers from the company, including Country Strong IPA and Triple Crown Brown, will be produced at the new facility.
The company will also produce other brewa such as Vanilla Milk Stout, Black Betsy Coffee Stout, The Stretch Cream Ale and RyeBaby DIPA.
Mitten Brewing co-owner Chris Andrus said that the company's new facility will allow it to have its two flagships on tap at all times.
"It also opens up fermenters in the taproom brewhouse which will allow us to experiment more," added Andrus.
Set to open in late spring, the new facility will allow the company to expand its brewery as well as begin beer distribution into Michigan.
