Food and beverage manufacturing giant Nestle’s ice tea brand Nestea has launched a new blackcurrant variant in Australia.
Coca-Cola, which distributes the brand in partnership with Nestle in Australia and other parts of the world, said the Nestea Ice Tea Blackcurrant flavour is a “unique variant” in the Australian ice tea category.
“We’re excited to bring a category first ice tea flavour in Nestea Ice Tea Blackcurrant to Aussie consumers,” said Amanda Schmidohofer, Coca-Cola Marketing Manager Tea and Hydration. “With a tangy, refreshing taste, Nestea Ice Tea Blackcurrant flavour makes for the perfect combination with a light meal, particularly Asian food,” she said.
As part of the launch of the Blackcurrant the entire Nestea Ice Tea range will also receive a packaging makeover, with a new blow fill bottle for the 500mL product size. The launch of the Blackcurrant variation will also be supported by a marketing campaign and sampling program across Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.
The Nestea Ice Tea Blackcurrant product will be available in convenience and food outlets with a recommended RRP of $3.50.
