Icelandic Glacial, the super-premium natural spring water from Iceland, announced that it will be the presenting sponsor for the fifth annual Reykjavik Fashion Festival (RFF). Considered Iceland’s largest fashion event, the RFF is an international stage for the country’s most talented fashion designers. As a sponsor, Icelandic Glacial will provide its natural spring water to models, designers and attendees from throughout the world during the RFF, which will take place from March 27 to 30, 2014 at the Harpa Concert Hall in Reykjavik, Iceland.
“We’re delighted to be a sponsor of the Reykjavik Fashion Festival as it truly exemplifies the wonder and enchantment of the country of Iceland,” says Jon Olafsson, Chairman and Co-founder, Icelandic Glacial. “The festival is a celebration of Icelandic creativity and talent, and we share a common passion for showing Iceland’s unique talents to the world. We’re excited to support an event that, like us, also believes in creating wondrous experiences.”
Established in 2009, the Reykjavik Fashion Festival is the main platform for Icelandic fashion designers. The primary goal of the RFF is to showcase and promote Icelandic fashion design to both the local and international fashion industry by creating a festival that unites Icelandic fashion. Since its establishment, the RFF has drawn Iceland’s most daring and talented fashion designers, with eight Icelandic fashion brands set to take the stage during the RFF, including Jör, Ret, Ella, Farmers Market, magnea, Cintamani, Ziska, and Sigga Maija. More than 3,000 visitors from around the world are expected to attend, including media, fashion bloggers, fashion executives and enthusiasts.
“Icelandic Glacial is a tremendous supporter of our national culture and we’re honored to have one of the world’s leading bottled water brands involved in Iceland’s largest celebration of fashion,” says Thorey Eva Einarsdottir, Festival Director of the Reykjavik Fashion Festival. “Icelandic Glacial continues to stay true to its Icelandic roots and does a fantastic job of working to promote Iceland and its culture.”
