New District (Dalian) invested more than 50 million yuan in 19 major tourism projects, 8 new projects in the starting phase, 10 currently under construction, and 1 under review. The overall plan is to invest a total of 116 billion yuan, with this year completing the planned 55 million yuan investment.
Through agricultural technologies and facilities, Jinzhou New District plans to stretch the big cherry season. Starting in March, Jinzhou New District greenhouses can start picking cherries. After 1 May, cold shed cherries will begin to mature. Cherries from the mainland begin to ripen from 6th of June to the 20th of July. By controlling the maturity time, the Jinzhou New District big cherry can be picked by August.
This year Jinzhou New District Tourism Bureau plans to fully utilize its regional tourism resources, with 4 main festivals; the Daheishan Temple Fair, Big Cherry Festival, The Beach Cultural Festival, and the Winter Festival. At the same time promote traditional dishes and the provinces cultural heritage of Jinzhou for tourists to enjoy.
A representative of the Jinzhou New District Tourism Bureau stated that they are planning on building a Food and Culture Street to attract more tourists.
