Mondelez International has announced plans to open a new snack production facility in Russia.
The company will invest $110 million on the new manufacturing plant.
The site will be the group's most advanced facility in the country, said a spokesperson, and it will create 180 jobs in the area.
The plant will have an annual capacity of 50,000 tons.
The new Modelez site will produce Alpen Gold, Milka and Vozdushnyy chocolate.
It will also produce Jubilee, TUC and Barni biscuit brands.
The development is part of plans to improve supply chain, said the group.
Mondelez International is introducing a number of initiatives around the world.
The group said it was doing so "to capitalise on growing demand in emerging markets", while also aggressively reducing costs and improving productivity.
