Heartland Food Products Group, an American producer of liquid beverage enhancers, is set to invest in its beverage manufacturing plant in Indianapolis, in a move to expand in the beverage category.
The investment amount will be used in new beverage manufacturing equipment at the plant, which will expand private label offerings.
The new technology and process will be fully implemented in the second half of this year.
Subject to formal contract approval, the expansion will create around 160 jobs over the next four years.
Heartland Food Products Group CEO Ted Gelov said that the company is excited to take the Heartland heritage of quality, speed to market and customer partnership into new markets.
"We have made substantial investments in both technology and people to drive success for Heartland and our retail partners. I am very proud that this will result in creating additional jobs in central Indiana," added Gelov.
Heartland Food Products Group produces liquid beverage enhancers as well as zero calorie sweetener products for the retail market. It produces and markets both private label and branded offerings in a wide variety of versions, flavors, and packaging formats.
