American establishment Macon Beer Company has announced plans to increase its production capacity by 400%, with the installation of new cellaring equipment.
The installation of the equipment is expected to take place in May.
Through the expansion, the company will have a capacity to produce beer, which will be enough to distribute to other regions including metro Atlanta, Augusta, and Columbus.
Macon Beer Company co-owner Cory Smith said that the additional capacity will bring the company one step closer to canning its beers resulting in potential product placement in package stores, grocery stores, as well as restaurants without draft beer, such as Ingleside Village Pizza and Lemongrass.
"It also gets a Macon product into other areas of the state, therefore bringing more revenue back to our town," added Smith.
AAA Metal Fabrication has manufactured the new fermentation vessels, based on Macon Beer's specifications.
