Core Tip: Branding and packaging design specialist, Parker Williams, has designed the new look for the Tesco Smoothie range, which launched in store on 28 April 2014.
The first thTesco Smoothiesree products launching this month are the 1l variants, including ‘Mango, Banana & Coconut’, ‘Strawberry, Banana & Passionfruit’ and ‘Pineapple, Kiwi & Lime’. The design of the Smoothies range was developed to have a broad appeal in line with the variety of flavours. The designs allow the products to stand out in the fridge at home and make them an easy choice for Tesco customers when they want a delicious and healthy drink.

The new Smoothies range, which comes in three quantities (1lt, with 250ml and 750ml to be released later in the year), features a modern design with visuals of fresh fruit in contemporary, bright colours, and messaging on pack.

Cathy Ogilvie, designer at Parker Williams, comments: “We created a light-hearted, fruity appeal using a contemporary illustrative style, adapted to the different sizes of the product range. Quirky and down-to-earth messages have been added on the pack to make the customer smile and relate to the products.

“The vibrant colour scheme and style was developed with Tesco’s customers in mind, aiming to make the product the obvious choice when they want a quick, delicious and healthy drink.”
