Cadbury Eclairs Velvets, the latest innovation from Cadbury, is set for a marketing boost this summer, with a new high-profile TV and cinema campaign from May.
The advert, screening from 12th May, describes the softer take on the classic, a soft caramel with a chocolatey centre, enrobed in Cadbury milk chocolate.
The campaign is part of a £2 million UK marketing investment in 2014, and will also include cinema, video on demand, digital, sampling and in-store activity
Launched in March, Cadbury Eclairs Velvets bags are a treat to enjoy on the move or in a free moment.
Kaitlin Williams, candy brand manager at Mondelēz International, said:
“We’ve already seen some great success with Cadbury Eclairs Velvets, with value rate of sale already matching our Cadbury Eclairs Classic SKU, and the product is helping to attract new consumers to the format and inspire new occasions for individual snacking.
“Our new TV ad and supporting campaign aims to educate consumers on the new soft Eclair, and we would encourage retailers to stock up in anticipation of increased awareness throughout the campaign.”
