DF MAVENS dairy-free ice cream brand created by Malcolm Stogo has opened its new ice cream manufacturing plant in Queens, New York.
The $3m facility produces desserts made from scratch, from pasteurization to packaging of the products. DF MAVENS' operations currently occupy 8,800ft², with plans to expand to 12,000ft².
Speaking about the new facility, Stogo said, "Building this facility gives me the ability to oversee the creation of the products, where I can ensure that we are providing our customers with the highest quality desserts from our variety of brands."
Currently, the factory produces DF MAVENS dairy-free desserts and products from the Desserts That Matter range that produces custom small batch ice creams, sorbets, gelatos and ices for restaurants, hotels and caterers.
DF MAVENS is available in a variety of flavors developed from three main bases - soy, coconut and almond. Its flavors include Madagascar Vanilla Bean, Del Lago Chocolate, Peanut Butter Fudge Mash, New Orleans Salted Praline, Mocha Almond Chip and Mint Almond Cookie, among others.
