American brewer Boulder Beer has installed a new canning line, which is the eighth canning line for the brewery.
Manufactured by Palmer Canning Systems, the canning line is a rotary closed counter-pressure filler equipped with American-made valve components and produces low can airs.
Boulder Beer Company plant engineer Tom Schnitzler said that the counter pressure system keeps air from touching the beer and makes a better product for longer.
"With this new can line we will be able to get our canned beer out more consistently than ever before," added Schnitzler.
The company also bought a can depalletizer for the line from SKA Fabricating, a subsidiary of SKA Brewing Company.
Boulder Beer claims that it currently runs 45 cans per minute with the capability to run 60 cans per minute.
With the potential to offer more beer in cans, the company plans to offer new canned offerings over the future.
