Molson Coors has revealed Carling Zest ‘Red Berries’ as its new second flavour in the Zest product range.
At 2.8% ABV, Carling Zest Red Berries will be available across the off-trade.
Jim Shearer, Carling brand director at Molson Coors, said: “Carling Zest has been a stand-out performer in the category ever since its launch.
“The launch of Carling Zest Red Berries for summer 2014 demonstrates that we are continuing to lead the way in developing this market and exciting consumers with new flavours.
“With this new flavour, alongside our permanent Carling Zest Citrus listing, we are anticipating a successful British summer for retailers.”
After securing its place as the most successful new beer of 2012, Carling Zest has continued its momentum with innovative variants including Winter Berries, Spiced Orange and Ginger flavours.
Carling Zest Citrus became a permanent listing in the off-trade following huge popular demand from retailers and their customers.
Molson Coors has also invested £3.5m in an integrated marketing campaign during 2014 to drive growth and incremental sales to the category.
Further success followed as Carling Zest won the Alcoholic Drinks Brand of the Year prize at The Grocer Gold Awards 2013 and is the category leader in this emerging product area of flavoured beer.
Carling Zest ‘Red Berries’ will be available to the off-trade in new 300ml Carling Trademark bottles in pack sizes 4x300ml and 12x300ml.
