drink bottler Polar Beverages will upgrade all its carbonated beverage lines, in a move to adopt Closure Systems International’s (CSI) lightweight Omni mini XP 28mm linerless closures.The move is said to boost the company's bottling efficiency, by lowering operational costs.
Made from fully recyclable polyethylene resin, Omni mini XP bottle caps are suitable for the bottling of sparkling beverages, the company claims.
According to CSI, the design of the closures reduces misapplied caps, color dimensional variability and easily accommodates bottling line speed changes.
Polar Beverages executive VP and operations manager Chris Crowley said, "Polar is a family-owned business with traditions dating back to 1880. We only make process changes when the quality and integrity of our products are enhanced and our customers or the communities in which we live directly benefit."
The closure weighs less than two grams and delivers better capping application performance in addition to product performance.
