Indian fruit juce producer Manpasand Beverages is set to establish two new production plants in the states of Gujarat and Karnataka, in order to meet the increasing consumer demand for its products.
The move is said to be in line with the company's strategy to focus on tier-II and tier-III cities to meet the supply gap.
Manpasand is currently investing INR1bn ($16.73m) to increase its production capacity from 60,000 cases per day.
The proposed plants in Vadodara, Gujarat and Karnataka will enable the company to increase its presence across the country, through partners and franchises.
Additionally, the company is also establishing a plant in Dubai to meet the international demand for its products.
Manpasand Beverages chairman & managing director Dhirendra Singh was quoted by PTI as saying, "We are eyeing a sales target of Rs 1,000 crore by FY' 2016. We have already surpassed Rs 300 crore sales for brand 'Mango Sip' in the last fiscal year."
