Bralirwa, a Rwanda-based soft drinks maker, has launched a new automated soft drinks bottling line, with an investment of around €25m.
The new bottling line will enable automated beverage manufacturing in Rwanda.
It has the capacity to produce 42,000 bottles per hour, while the old line could produce 2,400 bottles per hour, the company claims.
Bralirwa managing director Jonathan HALL said that the investment made in the new bottling line will allow the company to boost its capacity to cater to the increasing consumer demand for quality products.
"It is of course our hope that this will act to encourage other manufacturers to invest here in Rwanda," added HALL.
Additionally, the plant located in Gikondo, Kicukiro District will house supporting utilities for water purification, CO2, power generation, waste water treatment.
Bralirwa offers a wide range of products including Coca-Cola, Fanta Orange, Fanta Citron, Sprite, Krest Tonic, Vital'o and Fanta Fiesta.
The company also provides beer under the Primus, Mützig, Amstel, Guinness, and Turbo King brand names.
