FollowingCawston Press the sales’ success of its first premium canned drinks, Cawston Press has launched a new range of 250ml bottled sparkling drinks.

The two product (Cloudy Apple and Apple & Rhubarb) range replaces its previous 330ml glass format – and now mirrors Cawston’s sparkling cans by applying the same graphics and recipe.

The smaller size has come about following trade and consumer feedback and represents the ideal serving for both out-of-home and premium take-home usage occasions.

Cawston also contends that the 250ml format is designed for when customers want to use the drinks as complementary mixers for spirits.

Dan Broughton, Cawston’s sales director said:

“Our canned recipe format has proved a major hit with retailers across all channels, so offering premium glass bottles for those customers who require this format made perfect sense.

“There’s growing demand from consumers for quality non-alcoholic soft drinks, which don’t make them feel like second-class citizens if they’re laying off alcohol.

“For so long, consumers have had to put up with a small choice of sickly sweet, additive-filled soft drinks – our cans and bottles change all this.”

Cawston’s smaller serve bottles are made with high quality pressed NFC juice and have a low calorie count – only 75 cals for Cloudy Apple (still with no added sugar) and 95 for Apple & Rhubarb.

The bottles are being stocked in Tesco, Waitrose and independent retailers nationwide.
