Beer major Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) will establish a new business arm for beers in the US in a move to expand its presence in the growing beer market.
To be based in Chicago, the proposed unit will offer AB InBev brands such as Goose Island and Blue Point.
Commenting on the new business unit, AB InBev North American division president Luiz Edmond said that the new unit places the company in closer touch with urban consumers, their way of thinking, lifestyle and the accounts they visit.
AB InBev's new unit will be headed by Felipe Szpigel, the company's employee since past 15 years.
The new unit is expected to boost the company's beer sales over the future.
AB InBev produces, markets, distributes, and sells beer. It offers a portfolio of approximately 200 beer brands.
The company's international brands include Budweiser, Stella Artois, Corona, and Beck's; multi-country brands consist of Leffe and Hoegaarden.
