Heinz is set tHeinzo introduce a new and improved Squeeze & Stir range, which delivers a richer and thicker consistency for the most popular flavours found in the Heinz Classic canned range.

The new range of Heinz Squeeze & Stir soups offer new and improved flavours, aligning it to the ever popular Classics range.

The recipes are low in fat with no artificial colours or preservatives, and include:

- Cream of Tomato

- Cream of Chicken

- Cream of Mushroom

- Carrot & Coriander

Heinz Squeeze & Stir is an alternative in the traditional instant soup category, as it is made from a concentrated purée.

By developing the recipes, Heinz has been able to create an instant soup, that when ready, will be closer than ever before in taste and consistency to Heinz’s canned varieties.

Whilst developing the new range with improved recipes, the preparation process has also been simplified enabling consumers to enjoy the soup in one easy step.

The packaging is also now easier to open, thanks to a change in the tear perforation.

The Heinz Squeeze & Stir range was originally introduced in 2011 when Heinz recognised that there was a gap in the market for consumers looking for a convenient instant soup, who preferred the idea of instant soup made from purée and not a powder.

Heinz positioned Squeeze & Stir as an addition to the wet ambient canned range, attracting new consumers to the category.

Sarah Davies, brand manager at Heinz, said:

“The Heinz Squeeze & Stir range is a unique product, which has successfully developed its own loyal consumer base.

“It has proved especially popular with the younger generation who are looking for an alternative to dried soup.

“Our further investment in improving and refining the product, as well as the recent launch of our Heinz Cup Soup range, further demonstrates our commitment as architects of category growth and our intention to continue to grow the instant soup market.”

The new range will hit shelves from 11 August with an RRP of £0.59.
