Police say there is no evidence to suggest a 26-year-old Italian national, missing in Childers in southern Queensland, left the property where he was living and working.

Ilario Viviani had been living on the Buxton citrus farm with his girlfriend when he was reported missing on Sunday morning.

Emergency services have been scouring the 40 hectare property, near the Isis River, which includes an orchard and several large dams.

Police Senior Constable Grant Klassen said about 35 officers and State Emergency Service members will join a dive squad from Brisbane to continue searching the property and surrounding bushland.

"There's nothing to indicate that Mr Viviani has gone any distance from the property, so our search efforts at this stage have been concentrated on the areas around the property where it's most likely Mr Viviani will be found," he said.

Senior Constable Klassen said Mr Viviani's family had been contacted.

"We've been in touch with his partner and also with the Italian consulate and they have been in touch with Mr Viviani's parents overseas," he said.

He said Mr Viviani's partner had been with police for the entire duration of the search.
