Core Tip: Food trends are no different to foods themselves. Some are destined for a short life while a few will catch on to become a top consumer preference.
Food trends are no different to foods themselves. Some are destined for a short life while a few will catch on to become a top consumer preference.

Foods that are ‘natural’ and ‘preservative free’ are no longer just the preference of people with allergies.

The shift to creating ‘clean label’ is an on-going trend that is dictating which processed foods and drinks are being put into shopping trolleys.

Australian consumers are label critics

Spend time in a supermarket and you will see customers across all demographics picking up the package to check the label. If the information is not clean enough or sounds off-putting, back the product goes to the shelf.

Consumers want cleaner information

In February 2015, market research firm Mintel identified that consumers want to know more about the ingredients, but consumers make their purchasing decisions based on the information available on the label.

The new FoodLegal workshop: Clean-est Labelling and Marketing Strategies will focus on food labelling obligations and how best legally to highlight and present the cleanest image of a product.

This intensive half-day workshop is being presented by FoodLegal principal Charles Fisher and is limited to 24 participants per session.
Due to popular demand, an extra Sydney session has been announced by FoodLegal:
