The Russian Government has been asked to allow the importation and sale of goods affected by sanctions as long as these were supplied by companies who "are friendly to the Russian cause," reports "Izvestia".
The proposal was issued to the First Deputy Prime Minister, Igor Shuvalov, by Igor Zotov, member of the Duma Committee on Defence, and Yana Lantratova, member of the Russian Presidential Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights.
In their view, it is necessary to create a "register of private foreign companies that oppose sanctions against Russia." With this, Zotov and Lantratova seek to find a solution to address the situation of "a number of private companies which for years supplied their products to the Russian market and collaborated with our producers."
They point out that "members of the business community in Germany, Italy, Greece and other European Union countries have publicly protested against the sanctions against Russia," and that "we believe in an appropriate and timely revitalisation of the Russian state structures, with support to businesses that publicly opposed sanctions against Russia."
