BuzzBallz, LLC chose Closure Systems International (CSI) as the exclusive closure supplier for its new BuzzBallz Shooterz ready-to-drink shots brand. The brand provides bar shots packaged in 750 ml bottles, topped with CSI’s DS-Lok 28mm closure and an attached shot glass.

BuzzBallz Shooterz are 60 proof (30% ABV) and come in an assortment of flavors. Flavors include: Lemon Squeeze, Chocolate Caramel Cake, Red Hot Cinnamon Shot, Jalapeño Lime and Licorice Bomb. “The consumer benefit is in the quality of the product along with the design and packaging,” stated Alex Kick, BuzzBallz’ Vice President. Kick went on to explain that the founders of BuzzBallz have a list of qualities that they want in their dream drinks and in the packaging. “We want the product to be tasty, strong enough, and made with real fruit juice and the package to be colorful, portable, unbreakable and recyclable,” Kick added.

The BuzzBallz Shooterz package design includes a plastic container, closure and shot glass, perfect for pools, barbecues and other outdoor and indoor events. CSI’s DS-Lok 28mm closure, capping equipment and technical support provided the ideal integrated sealing solution. The DS-Lok closure is specifically designed for distilled spirits, delivering outstanding performance, tamper evidence and aesthetics. The cap is engineered to perform within a full range of bottle tolerances and provides consistent, high speed application, ensuring that the integrity of the product is protected and maximum operational efficiency is achieved. “CSI’s technical knowledge and application problem-solving were important,” said Kick. “We not only wanted a quality closure for our package, but also needed an experienced partner to help achieve a trouble-free rollout.”
