Surlean Foods expands foodservice production facility

 Surlean Foods, San Antonio, Texas, announced plans to expand its Dallas production facility. The $8 million project will create nearly 65 additional jobs, and is expected to be completed in July.

“We are proud to strengthen our operations with this expansion,” says Daryl Scott, president. “We look forward to the completion of this expansion. This will give our customers more flexibility when working with us on their proprietary projects. The upgrades and enhancements will showcase Surlean Foods’ culinary direction, new product development and menu innovation strengths.”

As Surlean Foods focuses on expanding their cooking operations, the plant will have an added culinary R&D center with a customer presentation area as well as enhanced quality assurance capabilities. The Dallas facility will also continue to streamline production processes to make customers’ menus more customizable and profitable.
