On the afternoon of March 9, 2016, the first cross-border trade of agricultural summit forum was held in Shanghai. The symposium was jointly organized by China Communications and Transportation Association Professional Committee of Agricultural Cold Chain (ACCC) and the ACCC VIP club members. Moreover, this summit is supported by Shanghai Pudong New Area Business Council.

Since the day it was established, ACCC has been devoted to improving the trade environment and providing the best service for cross-border trading. This forum aims to further optimize the current agricultural trade environment, and open new cross-border trade opportunities for agricultural products. With the current rapid development of Internet technology and logistic capacity, China is very active in agricultural products trade, and its imports volume also grows rapidly.

In order to meet the current trade model changes, the summit forum has invited the following participants for a joint discussion: Consulate representatives from ten countries (New Zealand, Canada, the Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Poland, Belgium, Thailand, Malaysia, Slovakia, Mexico), six import and export business representatives (Shanghai Qiren international Trade Co., Ltd., Shanghai Waigaoqiao Directly Imported Goods Center Co., Ltd. Shanghai Qingyuan Economic & Trading Co.,Ltd, Shanghai Huachen Longdefeng (Group) Inc, Mormex international Cp., Ltd, Mexico Food Connection), and two logistics company representatives (COSCO shipping Container transport Limited, Main Freight International Logistics Co.Ltd) .

According to Mr. Li Xiaoming, Deputy Director of the Business Council of Shanghai Pudong New Area, despite the overall economic situation, in 2015 China's import of agricultural products reached 116.88 billion US dollars, among which imported fruit accounted for $ 5.87 billion, an increase of 14.3% as compared with that of last year. Even though the industry as a whole showed a good momentum of development, agricultural trade still faces many bottlenecks, for example: relatively old trade models, lack of connection among regional markets, and lack of connection in terms of changes in domestic and foreign markets, separation of online and offline market, difficulties in balance supply and demand etc.

To further improve the business environment, this forum invited representatives from Shanghai Huachen Youan Investment Co. to present its B2B food supply chain service innovation model, which explains in detail how they integrate their online and offline platforms to reduce intermediate links.

With 320,000 square meters of industrial park for imported food to be put into use by the end of 2016. The park is located in the northwest corner of the Pudong International Airport, and close to Waigao Qiao and Yangshan Deep - water Port, which not only provides logistics and processing services, but also has a fine dining experience, corporate exhibition hall and other ancillary equipment.

Consulates and business representatives are very interested in the business models of Youan, and they believe that it will be a good way to further optimize the Chinese domestic agricultural industry chain.

Regarding the current export situation, representatives of consulates hope to enrich exported products varieties while expanding export volume. With the support of Chinese government, they also expect that more high-quality agricultural products can enter the Chinese market to meet consumers' demand to high quality lifestyle.
