Kuvée has launched world's first smart wine bottle designed to keep wine fresh for 30 days.
The Kuvée system is composed of a Kuvée Bottle and a curated collection of 750ml Kuvée wines, which are bottled on the same bottling line as standard glass bottles and are priced between $15 and $50.
Featuring valve system, the WiFi-connected Kuvée bottle prevents oxygen from touching the wine, thereby keeping it fresh for up to 30 days even after opening.
The interactive touch screen of the Kuvée Bottle also allows users to order wine and deliver personalized recommendations. The touch screen also shares food pairings and serving tips.
Kuvée founder and CEO Vijay Manwani said: "The US wine industry is growing faster than anywhere else in the world, and the demographics of wine lovers are changing rapidly.
"But despite these shifts, the industry has been slow to innovate beyond the glass bottle and cork."
The Kuvée wine collection features a premium quality wines from California's wineries, including Bonny Doon Vineyard, Schug, B. R. Cohn, Pine Ridge and others.
The firm secured $6m in venture funding from General Catalyst, Founder Collective, Bolt and several high-profile angel investors, in support of the new smart wine bottle.

Delivery of the Kuvée Bottle is planned to commence in October 2016 in California and Massachusetts. At launch the firm.
Kuvée, which plans to offer 48 wines from 12 wineries at the launch, intends to expand to additional markets in December 2016 and early 2017.
